The shrinkable tape is mainly used for winding and coating anti-corrosion treatment of the bending part of steel pipe and the repair of pipeline anti-corrosion coating damage, and also can be used for winding coating anti-corrosion treatment and joint coating anti-corrosion treatment of the whole steel pipe. It is composed of radiation cross-linked polyolefin base material and special sealing hot-melt adhesive. The special sealing hot-melt adhesive can form a good bonding with polyethylene base material, steel pipe surface and solid epoxy coating. Of course, it is often used in some composite pipes or thermal insulation pipes without primer. Now I'd like to briefly introduce the installation and use of heat shrinkable tape:
1. Polish and smooth the surface to be anticorrosive with tools such as grinder, wire brush or sand blasting, clean and remove rust. If it is used for joint coating, the outer protective layer at both ends shall be sanded.
2. Preheat the steel pipe surface to about 90 ℃, then heat the heat shrinkable winding tape at one end with hot melt adhesive until it melts completely, and then stick it on the steel pipe surface quickly.
3. In the way that the heat shrinkable winding tape is lapped no less than 50mm, the heat shrinkable winding tape is heated while the heat shrinkable winding tape is lined with hot melt adhesive and wound at the same time.
4. After the winding is completed, heat the heat shrinkable winding tape again with low fire, and press out the bubbles by hand (wear gloves) while heating until the hot melt glue overflows at the edge and overlap of the heat shrinkable winding tape.
